Jorge Mateo, ss, Athletics. Mateo, part of the three-man package sent to Oakland by the Yankees for Sonny Gray, reached base three times in his Midland debut and drove in two runs in a 10-1 win over Frisco (Rangers). Mateo played shortstop and flashed his plus speed with a triple.

Blake Rutherford, dh, White Sox. Rutherford, another high-end prospect shipped out by the Yankees as they bulked up in July, reached base five times Tuesday, going 3-for-4 with two walks and two RBIs in low Class A Kannapolisí 11-6 win over Delmarva (Orioles). Rutherford, acquired for David Robertson, Tommy Kahnle and Todd Frazier, is hitting .351 since the trade.

Estevan Florial, cf, Yankees. Florial, who the Yankees held onto despite teams pushing for him, was promoted to high Class A Tampa after hitting .297/.373/.483 with Charleston. Read more about him here.

Luis Asuncion, rf, Padres. Asuncionís double sparked a five-run rally as thee Northwest League beat the Pioneer League 5-4 in an all-star game between the leagues in Hillsboro, Ore., Tuesday night. Asuncion was named the gameís MVP, while Tri-City teammates Henry Henry and Jose Galindo got the win and save, respectively.
